Ghana will compete with Sudan, Angola and Niger in Group F for a slot at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The draw for the qualifiers was held on July, 4, 2024 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Black Stars take on familiar foe Sudan who is currently managed by former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah.
The draw also marks a repeat of the 2023 Afcon qualifying series, where Otto Addo’s side faced Angola.
Ghana will also face Niger, with their last meeting dating back to 2013 at the African Cup of Nations.
The four-time champions aim to secure a top-two finish in the group to qualify for their 11th consecutive Afcon finals.
The qualifiers will kick off in September this year to determine the first 24 nations out of the 48 that will compete in Africa’s biggest event.
The Confederation of African Football has set December 21, 2025, as the start date for the next edition, which will run until January 18, 2026.
Ivory Coast are the defending champions after hosting and winning the title with a 2-1 victory against Nigeria in the 2023 edition.
