The 4th edition of the PA Conference, held at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Friday, June 21, 2024, brought together hundreds of personal, executive, business and project assistants for an impactful and inspiring session.
Under the theme “THRIVING IN GROWTH,” this year’s event saw nearly 200 participants gather to learn best practices, connect with peers, and share their diverse experiences.
Started in 2019 by Fivesixfive, the PA Conference aims to offer a place of growth for Personal and Executive assistants to better assume leadership roles, add value to their executives and exhibit excellence in their work. Over the years, the conference has hosted almost 1000 delegates, steadily growing in size and influence.
This year's event featured a dual format of keynote speeches and a panel discussion, offering valuable insights and interactive experiences for all attendees. The line-up of esteemed speakers included Bernard Avle, Josephine Hutton Mills, Doreen Baffoe, and Charles Wundengba. They delved into salient topics such as self-reflection and discovery, emotional intelligence, personal branding and introduced tech tools designed to enhance efficiency.
Maame Ekua Gaisey, Managing Partner at Fivesixfive, detailed the driving force behind their mission and provided a glimpse into the future. “As a visionary leader in organisational culture and human capacity development, since 2019, we at Fivesixfive have crafted a unique platform that empowers professionals in administrative roles—from personal and executive assistants to office managers—equipping them with cutting-edge knowledge and global insights".
Maame Gaisey rounded off her talk by expressing gratitude to all partners and announced their ambitious vision, “Going global and starting from Africa is our next step” she shared.
After the event, several participants shared their testimonials, praising the organisers and highlighting the valuable insights they gained. Theophilus remarked, “The PA conference 2024 has been an insightful one and an eye-opener for me. If you want to go on a self-discovery journey, this is the place to be.”
Victoria, who has attended every session since 2019, added, "The programme has significantly impacted my personal growth and has been beneficial to my company as well.”
The P.A conference is a vibrant community where professionals come together to learn, grow, and excel in their roles. It provides a platform for honing skills, expanding knowledge, and forging valuable connections.
