One of Ghana’s leading oil marketing companies, Star Oil Limited, has launched the Star Fuel Card, an innovative product set to revolutionize the fuel industry in 2024.
Known as the second-largest firefighting company in the country, Star Oil is now positioning itself to become the top supplier of gasoline and diesel.
The Star Fuel Card according to the CEO of Star Oil Limited, Philip Tieku, provides significant savings, flexibility, and enhanced control over fuel expenses for individuals, corporate agencies, and fleet managers.
By addressing the high costs typically associated with fuel providers, Star Oil is filling a critical gap in the market.
The CEO further explained that the card goes beyond just purchasing fuel with a prepaid card but also allows customers to save some money which can be redeemed for groceries among other things, ensuring that customers are provided with the best and most affordable oil while receiving some returns on every litre of oil purchased.
Key Benefits of the Star Fuel Card
With the Star Fuel Card, convenience is assured. Customers can easily fund their Star Card at over 200 Star Oil stations, eliminating the stress of bank visits.
The card also offers flexibility as users enjoy seamless management of their fuel expenses, making budgeting simpler and more efficient.
Users will also experience loyalty rewards. Set to launch next month, the loyalty programme allows customers to earn points that can be redeemed for fuel or groceries at participating stores, adding extra value to every purchase.
Moreover, Star Oil is committed to ensuring transaction integrity through robust verification systems, including CCTV monitoring and transaction reconciliations, which provide customers with additional security and peace of mind.
Speaking at the launch, the Managing Director of Ghana Commercial Bank, Kofi Adomakoh commended Star Oil Limited for the innovation, particularly the security features that come with it.
He noted that with the collaboration between GCB LPC and Star Oil Limited, customers will only have the best from the two companies.
“We have seen StarOil grow from a very small company to a very large entity like you see today. We are excited because StarOil is a Ghanaian-owned private sector company. What we have seen today proves that when Ghanaian institutions work together, and Ghanaian banks support Ghanaian businesses, they can grow, and that is what you are seeing,” he said.
This launch highlights Star Oil's dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction. With the introduction of the Star Fuel Card, the company is meeting its customers' needs and setting a new standard in the fuel industry.
As Star Oil continues to expand its offerings, the Star Fuel Card is poised to be a game-changer, making fuel management more accessible and rewarding for all.
The Chairman of Star Oil Limited and other officials officially unveiled the card for use.
To use the card, which aims to bring about convenience, customers can fund the card at any of its stations across the country or explore the alternative of funding the card via GCB Bank.
