Reigning Footballer of the Year, Mohammed Kudus, insists he is “still far from his best” despite lighting up the Premier League in his first season in England.
Kudus scored eight goals, including a bicycle kick against Manchester City, and provided six assists for West Ham last season.
His form has seen him clinch the Ghana Footballer of the Year award for the second consecutive time - the second player to do so after Thomas Partey.
"Personally, before I took the step, I knew I was ready for the challenge, that's why I went for it,” Kudus said at the Ghana Football Awards on JoyPrime.
“Once I was ready, I knew what I expected from myself and big ups to all the teammates and the people around the club.
"It is a difficult league but I still believe that I am still far from my abilities. It is just the beginning and it was good to announce myself."
Kudus will work under new manager Julen Lopetegui who replaced David Moyes for next season.
