The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has announced that the 'Homowo clean-up exercise' will commence at Sempe, Gbese, Abloa, Asere, and the Dogo Beach in Ga Mashie on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon.
According to the Assembly, shops and businesses are required to remain closed on the designated clean-up dates, except pharmaceutical and health facilities to ensure the safety and efficiency of the clean-up activities as well as facilitate the full participation of all stakeholders.
In a press release signed by the Head of Public Affairs, the AMA explained that the clean-up activities had been grouped into six (6) zones covering the entire region with Zone 1 comprising areas within the AMA and three [3] sister Assemblies.
