The Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council in the Western North Region led by Katakyire Kwasi Bumagamah II, has donated GH¢300,000 in support of the "Heal Okomfo Anokye Hospital Project.”

The donation is in support of the ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare services at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

During the Akwasidae celebration at the Manhyia Palace, the delegation from the Paramount Chief of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council, presented the cheque to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

During the donation, the chief said their contribution is a testament to their commitment to supporting healthcare and ensuring that the hospital can continue to offer high-quality care to all.

The Asantehene expressed deep appreciation for the support.

The Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is a critical institution providing essential medical services to thousands of people in and outside the region.

The "Heal Okomfo Anokye Hospital Project" is an initiative aimed at upgrading the hospital's facilities, acquiring modern medical equipment, and expanding its capacity to better serve patients which is a sole initiative of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene.

The project has garnered support from various stakeholders, including government agencies, private organisations, and traditional authorities.

The donation will therefore go a long way in advancing the efforts to improve healthcare delivery.
