A former Wa Central parliamentary aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper West Region, Alhaji Hudu Mogtari on Sunday, June 16, joined other Muslims in the constituency to celebrate the festival of sacrifice, Eid-Ul-Adha.

The former Food and Drugs Authority CEO joined thousands of people to observe the Eid prayers at the Naa Sidiki Bomi Park.

His presence at the prayer centre was heavily acknowledged by Muslim leadership, supporters of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, and the public.

It has become an annual ritual for Alhaji Hudu to observe one of the two Islamic festivities with his people as a mark of bonding with the constituents.

In a brief interaction and photo session, Alhaji Hudu Mogtari called on constituents to embrace peace, respect for law and authority and above all, unity of purpose for the development of the Upper West Region.

Alhaji Hudu Mogtari has been in the region over the past few days to whip up support for the NDC and also participate in some political and social events.

One such event was the Fundraising Dinner organised by the Upper West Regional Executive Committee of the opposition National Democratic Congress where he donated a pick-up truck, Twenty-Five motorbikes and Thirty Thousand Ghana Cedis.

He has further engaged constituency and regional leadership at various levels in a bid to solidify the nurtured agenda of winning all 11 parliamentary seats in the Upper West Region.
He is also scheduled to meet some women and youth groups in the Wa Central constituency.
