Wife of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, Lordina Mahama, has advised Northern regional and constituency executives to take cues from John Mahama's leadership and ensure that they settle all internal party disputes.
According to her, it is only through unity that the party can attain electoral victory in the December elections.
Speaking at an engagement with the Northern regional party executives on June 14, she noted that as election day draws near, it is possible for party members to step on each other's toes. Therefore, she emphasised the importance of everyone learning to forgive each other.
“If someone offends you, think about John Mahama and forgive the person,” she said.
The visit marks the former First Lady's third regional tour following her visits to the Savannah and Bono East Regions.
Ahead of the Eid ul-Adha celebration, the former First Lady extended season's greetings to Muslims and distributed a few items to aid in the celebrations.
For his part, the NDC Regional Chairman, Ali Adolf, expressed confidence that Mr Mahama would capture political power and pledged to intensify the campaign to secure all 18 parliamentary seats in the region.
