Former Chief Executive Officer of Hearts of Oak, Harry Zakour, has criticised the current board members by questioning their understanding of football.
In March 2024, the Phobians unveiled ten esteemed professionals as a newly formed board to run the club.
Three months later, they are yet to turn around their fortunes in the ongoing season.
Despite hiring Ivorian trainer Aboubakar Ouattara, the 2021 champions enter the final game of the season needing three points to guarantee their stay in the competition.
“Where the club is going now, they never in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th on the league,” Zakour, who won multiple titles with Hearts including the 2000 CAF Champions League, told Asempa FM.
“We are not against anybody who is running the club. Togbe is doing his best. He is doing all his 100 percent best, but he must have people to work with. If you look at the board, they do not understand football.”
Hearts currently occupy the 15th position on the league standings on 42 points and travel to Bechem United for their final game of the season.
