President of Young Apostles Sammy Anim Addo believes the support of the people of Wenchi will be key to the club's survival after their Ghana Premier League promotion.
Young Apostles became the latest team to book a slot in the top flight next season after beating Techoman Heroes on penalties on Tuesday.
The Wenchi-based side won 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes of action in the Division One League Zone 1 playoff at the Accra Sports Stadium.
According to Anim Addo, the club has been running based on support from the community and that won't change following their promotion.
"This is a community-based club. We are using the power of the community to survive," he told Joy Sports after the game.
He also added that they will be looking to improve the squad to ensure a smooth ride in Ghana's top flight.
"I have been in the Premier League with Medeama and with King Faisal. I know what it takes to be in the Premier League," he continued.
"I know everything that we need to do. In terms of recruitment, I can tell you we are going to beef up the squad with some mature players but our youthful players, we are not going to stop.
"Nothing is stopping us from producing young players and you will see Apostles play a more mature and better game."
Young Apostles now join Vision FC and Basake Holy Stars as the three teams from Division One that will be playing in Ghana's top flight in the 2024/25 season.
