Young Apostles will play in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season after beating Techiman Heroes to clinch the last promotion slot.
The Wenchi-based side won 4-3 on penalties after the game had ended 1-1 following 120 minutes of action in the Division One League Zone 1 playoff game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, June 4.
Kassim Sule opened the scoring for Young Apostles in the first 15 minutes of the game.
His low strike from outside the penalty box bounced just in front of goalkeeper Karim Rauf to give the Wenchi-based side the lead.

Apostles controlled the game thereafter and had chances to double their lead but fluffed their lines.
Techiman Heroes were not going to fall prey to similar instances with Mohammed Adama scoring just minutes away from the first-half break.
Both teams created limited opportunities in the second half but they yielded no results.
Benjamin Twum was the busiest of goalkeepers after the break pulling off some wonderful saves to keep Young Apostles in the game.
The encounter travelled to extra time but just as in the first and second halves, there was no winner and the game had to be decided on penalties.
Having scored their first two kicks, Young Apostles missed their next two kicks.
However, Techiman Heroes would also go on to miss three penalties before Sulemana Yahaya scored the winning kick to seal Premier League football for the next season.
