Nigerian superstar Davido has congratulated Ghanaian artiste Stonewboy after he was crowned Artiste of the Year at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards ceremony on Sunday.

Taking to the comment section of one of Stonebwoy’s posts, Davido showered praises on the Ghanaian artiste stating that his position as the number one is not debatable.

“NUMERO UNO NO DEBATE !!! ANYBODY WEY NO GREE GO GREE LAST LAST! Congrats my brother and love you and the family! ITS YOUR TIME ENJOY,” Davido’s comment read.

Meanwhile, Stonebwoy in his post expressed his gratitude to his friends, family and fans for their genuine love and support.

He noted that their contact defence of his work and person does not go unnoticed adding that their deeds are making an impact.

"For those Who trust that my hustle is a true reflection of their own individual stories Here is a proof that you’re a winner. This Reward of Hardwork is a True testament that Inside of me lies one of the Greatest Talents to ever emerge out of Africa and If this makes me better than others, may they be inspired because there are others above, that inspire me too.. On Saturday, June 1, Stonebwoy beat stiff competition from five other artistes namely; Black Sherif, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Nacee and Sarkodie to win the Artiste of the Year.

In addition to Artiste of the Year, Stonebwoy won five other awards: Best International Collaboration, Best Reggae/Dancehall Artist, Songwriter of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Dancehall Artiste.

This is Stonebwoy’s second Artiste of the Year award, his first being in 2015. He is the third artiste in history, besides rapper Sarkodie and the group VIP, to achieve this milestone.
