Nigeria's under 17 National team the Eaglets, beat Ghana's Black Starlets in the third-place playoff game at the ongoing WAFU B U-17 Cup of Nations qualifiers on Tuesday, May 28.
The Golden Eaglets scored in the dying minutes of the game to hand the Black Starlets their second defeat of the competition to finish third.
Nigeria opened the scoring in the game capitalising on an error from Michael Armah, who spilt the ball after a first attempt to catch it.
Ghana struck immediately as Harve Gbafa rose highest to head home Benjamin Tsivanyo's cross from a corner kick to make it 1-1.
Gbafa put the Starlets in the lead for the first time in the game after a sumptuous flick from a Mark Kagawa Mensah cross to make it 2-1.
