Midfielder Thomas Partey has returned to the Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.
He was not included in the team for the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast and was not invited for the March international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.
The 30-year-old, who has been battling injuries, last featured for the Black Stars in October 2023, during a friendly against the United States of America.
However, he is now fully recovered and back in the team, and he will captain in the absence of Andre Ayew, who has been dropped from the 26 man squad.
Ghana will face Mali on June 6 before hosting the Central African Republic four days later. The team currently sits fourth in Group I with three points after two matches.
