A KIA Rhino truck loaded with illegal mining equipment crashed into the Sehwi Juaboso Magistrate Court in the Juaboso district.
The collision occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, causing significant damage to the court's exterior.
The truck was transporting 'galamsey' equipment, which has been a growing concern in the region due to its environmental impact and contribution to illegal mining activities.
According to the report, the driver of the truck with the registration number AS 9184-20 experienced brake failure, leading to the accident.
Authorities responded swiftly to the scene, resulting in the arrest of the suspects involved in the incident.
The identities of those apprehended have not yet been disclosed, but police confirm they are being held for further investigation.
