The Women in Engineering (WinE) a group under the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) has extended warm congratulations to Ing Dr. Enyonam Kpekpena on her prestigious appointment as Chair of the Committee on Women in Engineering (WIE), a standing committee of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) for the term 2024 – 2027.
In an official statement, WinE Ghana expressed their pride and joy, remarking, "We wish to congratulate you on your recent appointments to the Council of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) as Chairperson of the Committee on Women in Engineering. This landmark achievement is a significant milestone for the female engineering community in Ghana".
"We have no doubt that your hard work, dedication, and commitment to duty have paid off. You have indeed made history, branded, and elevated the profile of WinE as an organization committed to promoting and empowering female engineers," the statement continued.
"Ing Dr. Enyonam Kpekpena remains a pacesetter and a role model to all female engineering practitioners in Ghana, Africa, and the world at large. We thank her for her efforts and contributions to making WinE’s objectives of empowering females and supporting them to reach leadership positions a reality," the statement added.
WinE Ghana is confident in Ing Dr. Kpekpena’s ability to bring her extensive engineering experience and dedication to her new role, which we believe will have a substantial impact.

Women in Engineering (WinE) is a strategic group of interest under the GhIE focused on promoting the interests and achievements of female engineers in Ghana. WinE works to empower women in engineering through various initiatives, aiming to support and inspire the next generation of female leaders in STEM fields.
