The Suaman National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a stern caution, declaring its readiness to resist any form of intimidation from the Suaman Police Command, National Security Personnel, and other persons that appear to hired macho men at the ongoing limited voter registration exercise in Dadieso, the district capital of Suaman.

According to the NDC, there have been series of attacks on their members by the alleged macho men and branded national securities at the voter registration exercise since its commencement.

At a press briefing, about the hectic situation surrounding the voter registration exercise which has automatically impeded the progress of the EC's exercise, the constituency organiser, Amos Tandoh raised several concerns over the alleged attempt by the police command to intimidate their supporters and suppress their participation in the voter registration process.

He emphasised their commitment to ensuring that every eligible person exercises their democratic right without fear and panic.

The party officials stated that they would not hesitate to battle any security in an attempt to intimidate any of their members at the limited voter registration exercise.

Also, the Member of Parliament for the Suaman constituency, Joseph Betino disclosed that the NPP has been inducing applicants with an amount of money - busing them from neighbouring constituencies contrary to the regulations regarding the conduct of the registration.

He indicated the action of the NPP by busing people from other constituencies to register in the Suaman constituency has been the cause of the chaos at the EC's limited voter registration centre.

The lawmaker also insisted that the NDC shall oppose any non-resident who may be seen at the registration centre from getting their names registered.

Meanwhile, the communication officer of the NDC, Agyiri Clearance issued a stern warning to non-resident applicants who may find their way to Suaman to register their names that if anything happens to them then the NPP must be held responsible.

He further encouraged all eligible applicants to register their names at their various constituencies to avoid any unforeseen mayhem.
