Ghana international Mohammed Kudus says the impressive performances of former African players on the global stage in the past have made it easy for the current crop of players.
Africans have begun to get onto the scene in recent times and gradually penetrating the European football market.
More African players continue to be involved in most of Europe's top leagues with each season that goes by.
Kudus is one of the players to be enjoying the limelight as well following his move to the Premier League last summer joining West Ham United from Ajax.
Speaking to the Premier League YouTube channel, the Ghanaian mentioned Africans are only getting noticed because of what has been in the past.
"All the guys that have been here as African players have paved the way for us to get the opportunity to get here," he said.
"So my main goal and responsibility is also to keep putting light on where I'm from and then making scouts and agents believe that there are even more players better than me from Africa."
Just like others were for him, Kudus has also become an inspiration for many kids in Ghana since making his Black Stars debut in 2019.
