Ghana's Mohammed Kudus says he aims to make agents and scouts in Europe believe that there are better talents in Africa than him.
The 23-year-old disclosed he tries to depict that in his performances and his overall personality off the pitch.
Kudus has become an inspiration for many kids in Ghana since making his Black Stars debut in 2019, joining Ajax and then signing for Premier League club, West Ham United last summer.
“All the guys that have been here as African players have paved the way for us to get the opportunity to get here,” he said in an EA Uncut interview posted on the Premier League’s YouTube channel.
“So my main goal and responsibility is also to keep putting light on where I'm from and then making scouts and agents believe that there are even more players better than me from Africa.
“Performing well comes with a responsibility but I see it as a blessing, you know, to be able to also pave way for other guys coming from Africa to get the opportunity.”
In addition to his memorable performances, he has scored 13 goals in all competitions. Seven of those goals came in the Premier League where has featured in 31 games.
Also, Kudus has scored five in nine Europa League games, with one goal coming in three EFL Cup games.
