Ghana star, Mohammed Kudus, says he tries to set a good example for kids who look up to him as a mentor in his native country.
The 23-year-old has become an inspiration for many kids in Ghana since making his Black Stars debut in 2019, joining Ajax and then signing for Premier League side, West Ham United last summer.
Kudus has since cemented his place as a household name with his eye-catching performances in the most competitive league in the world as well as European competitions.
“A lot to be grateful for, you know, but also it comes with a lot of responsibilities, you know, because I believe there's a lot of kids from my country that look up to me,” Kudus told the Premier League.
“So in as much as I'm not perfect and I try to be myself, I try to set a good example for them.”
Since joining West Ham United last summer from Ajax, Mohammed Kudus’ first season has become a tremendous success.
In addition to his memorable performances, he has scored 13 goals in all competitions. Seven of those goals came in the Premier League where has featured in 31 games.
Also, Kudus has scored five in nine Europa League games, with one goal coming in three EFL Cup games.
