Northern Ghana received the torch of the currently blazing novelty in Ghana sports, the All Regional Games 2024.
Cast in the mould of the iconic international Olympic Games torch-bearing relay, the All Regional Games Torch relay touched the capital of the Upper East Region, Bolgatanga and the euphoric reception was affectionate.
Team Gyan, first visited the Regional Coordinating Council (R.C.C) where the torch was presented to the Regional Minister and his team, receiving his endorsement and blessing signifying the region's acceptance of the project.
The All Regional Games then went through some principal streets of Bolgatanga on a float which saw an enormous crowd following with cheers, chants and glee.
Team Gyan had media engagements after which the torch went to the R.C.C where the Regional Minister, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih, and his team received it.
The Northern tour is to create awareness for the All Regional Games project, which moved to Wa, Damongo, Tamale, Nailerugu and Walewale.
