President Nana Akufo-Addo has put forward Joyce Adjoa Agyeiwaa as the nominee for the position of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Birim Central in the Eastern Region.
Madam Agyeiwaa's nomination comes as a replacement for Victoria Adu, whose appointment was revoked on March 19.
Madam Adu had been among the four female chief executives in the region before her removal from office.
According to the government, the appointment of Agyeiwaa aligns with Article 243 (1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), which governs the selection process for MCEs.
