A fairytale ride in the CAF Confederation Cup ended last weekend for Dreams FC but they have another opportunity to return to the continental stage next season.
Dreams sealed a place in the CAF competition after winning the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup ahead of King Faisal.
Their involvement in the Confederation Cup meant the last FA Cup quarterfinal game had to be put on hold. However, with the elimination, Karim Zito's side will now look to defend the title they won last season.
They face Division One League side Soccer Intellectuals in the last eight of the competition looking to book a slot in the semifinal.
The Still Believe lads' road to the quarterfinal includes wins over Susubiri and Koforidua Semper FC. They beat Susubiribi 1-0 courtesy of a John Antwi first-half strike.
Abdul Aziz Issah, Agyenim Boateng Mensah and Sylvester Simba were all on target in the last 16 win over the Koforidua-based side claiming a 4-1 victory.
Before reaching the last eight of the FA Cup, Soccer Intellectuals beat Krodua All Stars, Fijai Soccer Academy and Hohoe United.
The Ajumako - Assasan-based club hopes to continue their exploits in the competition and join the likes of Nsoatreman FC, Legon Cities and Bofoakwa Tano who have already booked their spots in the semis of the cup competition.
The game between Dreams FC and Soccer Intellectuals is set to be played on Thursday, May 2, at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
Kickoff is at 15:00 GMT.
