Dutch-born Ghanaian, Jeremie Frimpong, has emerged as the fourth best Bayer Leverkusen player in goal contributions in their Bundesliga title winning run.
Xabi Alonso’s team confirmed winning the title with five games to spare after a thumping 5-0 win over Werder Bremen in front of their jubilant supporters on Sunday at the Bay Arena.
The victory means Leverkusen moved to 79 points – 16 more than their nearest rivals Bayern Munich – with just 15 points left to play for.
Throughout this season, Jeremie Frimpong has been involved in 15 goal contributions; scoring eight times and providing seven assists.
That ranks him as the fourth best goal contributor in Bayer Leverkusen’s run to winning the Bundesliga title.
Florian Wirtz and Alejandro Grimaldo are joint top with 21 goals and assists each for the league season.
Victor Boniface comes in third with 19 goal contributions, four more than Jeremie Frimpong, who has 15.
Frimpong’s impressive season has seen him being linked to some big clubs in Europe, with a lot of Premier League clubs showing interest.
