President Akufo-Addo has appointed Pearl Nana Ama Darko as the new Commissioner for Support Services Division at the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
Madam Darko transitions from her previous role as Deputy Director-General for Operations and Benefits at the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).
Additionally, Edward Apenteng Gyamerah has been appointed as the Commissioner for the Domestic Tax Revenue Division.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, April 9, by the Ministry of Finance announcing the appointments, the Ministry emphasised that these appointments are intended to strengthen the capabilities of the GRA and ensure the achievement of targets through professionalism, fairness, and exceptional client service.
The Ministry expressed gratitude to the outgoing leadership of the GRA for their dedication and contributions to the nation.
"These new appointments are expected to strengthen the GRA and ensure that targets are met in an environment of professionalism, fairness, and exemplary client care."

Profile of Pearl Darko
Under Ms Darko's leadership, SSNIT achieved a year-to-date performance of 113.9% in private establishments contributions collections and a year-to-date Overall Worker Compliance Rate performance of 119%.
Ms Darko, has held senior management positions at Coca Cola Africa, The Global Fund, Africa Development Bank, and the UNDP, among many other top companies and institutions globally.
She holds an undergraduate degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), an MSc in International Policy and Negotiation from the University of Geneva (Graduate Institute of Development Studies), and an MSt. (MPhil) in Sustainability and Leadership Development from the University of Cambridge.
