After publicly announcing his separation from his wife, rapper Medikal is taking steps to move forward by clearing some reminders of their past.
One of the actions he has taken is covering up the tattoo he had gotten in honour of actress Fella Makafui, a few years ago.
Medikal and Fella Makafui had gotten sentimental matching 'couples tattoos' in May 2020, shortly after their wedding. These tattoos depicted half of a lion's face on each of their arms, which when linked together formed a complete image.
Beneath Medikal's tattoo, he had inked his ex-wife's name along with his daughter, Island's name.
However, in a recent post on Snapchat, Medikal revealed that he had redone the tattoo, completely concealing Fella Makafui's name.
Now, next to a bold black rectangle covering the previous ink, is his daughter's name alongside half of the lion's face.
This comes after he announced that they had called an end to their four-year-old marriage in a Twitter post on Saturday, March 30.
Medikal indicated that they were now co-parents to their daughter, Island.

Fella Makafui shortly after the announcement blocked Medikal on Twitter. The duo have also unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The actress has also taken off the title ‘Mrs Frimpong’ from her Instagram bio.
