The Awutu Senya East Municipal Security Council has issued a stern warning against the spread of baseless claims regarding the disappearance of male genitalia within the municipality.
It stated that stringent penalties will be imposed on those found guilty of such actions.
The council has noticed a disturbing trend where certain individuals are spreading panic through rumours that ritualists roaming Kasoa and nearby areas have the power to make male genitalia vanish upon contact.
However, thorough investigations have concluded that these allegations are unfounded and have not been verified by any medical authorities.
The spread of these rumours has caused undue distress and turmoil among the citizens of the Awutu Senya East Municipality, according to a statement from Anita Love Obo Amissah, the head of the municipal security council.
In light of these events, the council has taken a firm stance on the issue and reassures the public that they can carry on with their daily activities without fear.
The security council's operatives are vigilantly performing their duties to ensure the safety and well-being of the community, particularly during the Easter festivities.
