The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has disputed rumours about the death of veteran actor Zack Orji.
The actor was in January 2024 hospitalised at the Intensive Care Unit of Abuja’s National Hospital.
Zack Orji was reported to have collapsed at his home. However, subsequent reports indicated a significant improvement in his condition.
Rumours about his supposed death began circulating on social media on Monday.
But, taking to Instagram AGN’s President Emeka Rollas insisted that Zack Orji was alive and urged the general public to ignore the fake news.
“Please ignore mischief makers who enjoy circulating fake news. This is to show how wicked some people can be. It is totally unacceptable. He will not die but live to declare the good works of God in Jesus’ name,” Mr Rollas wrote.
This comes just days after the death of veteran Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor.
The talented actor died on Sunday, March 24, after battling with stroke and kidney-related disease. He was 62.
