Head coach of the Black Princesses, Yusif Basigi, says the team will play with all seriousness against Senegal in their semifinal game at the ongoing African Games.
Ghana and Senegal go head-to-head in the last four of the competition with a place in the final up for grabs.
Basigi's side will face Senegal for the third time in the last two years having met them earlier during their U-20 World Cup qualifiers.
Despite beating them earlier on, the gaffer says the team will still be determined for the win.
"We had a tough game against Uganda and our game plan worked. Though we conceded an early goal, we strategised going into the game and I think it worked for us and we finished top of the group," said Basigi.
"We played Senegal during the World Cup qualifiers and scored them but going into this game, we will not underrate them. I have watched them play and they are a good side so we will go into the game taking it very seriously as it will be a tough game.
"Due to the inconsistent nature of our back line due to injury, it makes us a bit unstable. Though we conceded first before equalising, we will go into the next game to make sure it doesn’t happen as we have worked on our mistakes during training."
Despite scoring two goals in three games so far, Mukarama Abdulai has still not been at her best.
But Basigi is confident the Hasaacas Ladies forward will come good as he continues to stick with her.
"Mukarama missing chances doesn’t mean she won’t feature for the team. I will keep using her and hopefully, she will gain her confidence back," he added.
"She is the lead striker and being away for a long time sometimes makes you inconsistent but the team will keep giving her the opportunity to continue playing and I know she will convert most of her chances going forward.
"We worked on her goal-scoring prowess during training and hopefully against Senegal, the chances fall to her to convert."
The game against Senegal is scheduled for Monday, March 18, at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium with the winner facing Nigeria or Uganda.
