Accra Lions FC sealed an incredible feat on Wednesday evening following their 3-2 win over Asante Kotoko in their Ghana Premier League encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The win was Lions' second away win of the season, and their first victory over Kotoko in six meetings.
Kooko were looking to bounce back to winning ways after their defeat to Karela United in their last game. However, the Accra-based side got the better of their opponents in midweek.
Lions started the game on a strong foot and took a deserving lead inside the opening 10 minutes of the game as Blessing Asuman Dankwa scored his third goal in just three games for the away side after a pinpoint cross from Daniel Awuni.
Kalo Ouattara levelled the score for the Porcupine Warriors 20 minutes later after being set up by Andrews Apau to take the game tied into the break.
Dankwah scored again to restore Lions' lead after the break before second-half substitute Dominic Amponsah added a third.
Bernard Somuah reduced the deficit for Kotoko in the dying moments of the game but it wasn't enough for the home side as they succumbed to yet another defeat, leaving them further behind Samartex, who also recorded a win in their league game at home.
