Ghana's men's 4x100m medley relay team has pulled of the final scheduled for Wednesday night.
The development was confirmed on Wednesday evening, with Ghana absent from the official race start list.
There has been no official reason why that decision was taken.
Home fans were hoping the team, comprising Abeiku Jackson, Kow Jackson, Harry Stacey and Niklas Yeboah would close out what has been a relatively successful games for team Ghana.
Ghana won two medals in all from swimming, with both coming from Abeku Jackson, in the 50m and 100m butterfly.
