Ghana-born and bred goalkeeper David Akologo has been named in the Bolivian national team for this month's international friendlies.
Akologo has consistently been one of the best shot stoppers in the Bolivian Primera Division.
He has been playing in Bolivia since 2018 when he first signed with Club Arauco Prado in the country's third Division.
Akologo has since progressed steadily, earning a two-year contract with top-flight side Club Aurora in January 2023.
A little over a year later, Akologo has now received his first national team call up After completing a nationality switch.
In 2021, Akologo became eligible for naturalisation after working in the country for three uninterrupted years.
The 27-year old is in line to make his debut when Bolivia face Algeria on Friday, March 22, 2024.
Bolivia will play Andorra three days later, on Monday, March 25, 2024.
