Ghana football legend Abedi Pele has placed all his cards on the table with regards to the future of his son Andre Dede Ayew.
The 25-year old's contract at Marseille runs out in the summer and is expected to leave on a free transfer given Marseille's current financial difficulties.
In an interview with Provence Monday, Abedi Pele spoke about the future of Andre, and confessed that despite a plethora of rumors linking his son to a move to England, Marseille's interest would be considered before anything else.
"I've always been at the heart of the discussions. We will put on the table all that can be offered," he said.
"But do not forget one thing: if Andre is here today, it is thanks to Olympique Marseille(OM). So the first case to consider is that of OM."
"If he wants something else? That's the life of a footballer, to keep on dreaming. But in the case of Andre, he is a child of the club."
"We must be objective: he is loved, did a good job in Marseille, so the proposal of the club must be seen first.
With regards to his son's ambitions to lift the Ligue 1 title, he said: "His dream is to win the championship. So obviously it means to play the Champions League next."
