The Divisional Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association in the Volta Region, Dr Med Julius Patamiah Esq., has assured members of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the association's plans for the year ahead.
Dr Patamiah assured members and the public that a dedicated Annual General Meeting (AGM) structure and a guest house will be established before the end of the year.
The Volta Divisional Secretary highlighted the importance of having a proper venue for their annual gatherings, stating that it would greatly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their meetings.
The new AGM structure will not only provide a space for official deliberations but also serve as a hub for networking, professional development, and knowledge sharing among the medical community in the region.
Dr Patamiah, who commented during the AGM awards dinner, emphasised the association's commitment to its members and the advancement of healthcare in the Volta Region.
"Our goal is to create a conducive environment for our members to collaborate, innovate, and grow both personally and professionally," he stated.
In addition to the announcement regarding the AGM structure, Dr Patamiah reiterated the association's dedication to supporting the "living legends" of the medical field.
These are the experienced doctors and healthcare professionals who have made significant contributions to the medical field over the years.
"We owe a great debt of gratitude to those who have paved the way for us in the medical profession," Dr Patamiah remarked.
"Their wisdom, experience, and dedication have laid the foundation for our current achievements, and it is our responsibility to honour and support them."
The Volta division of the Ghana Medical Association has a long-standing tradition of recognising and assisting its senior members.
Through various initiatives such as mentorship programmes, educational seminars, and financial support for retired members, the association aims to ensure that the invaluable knowledge and expertise of these "living legends" continue to benefit the healthcare community.
