Ghana Premier League holders, Medeama SC, suffered a humbling 3-0 loss against CR Belouizdad in their final group game of the CAF Champions League.
Raouf Benguit and Leonel Wamba, gave the Algerian side a 2-0 lead at the halftime break, before Lamin Jallow completed the scoring, six minutes to full time.
A bewildered Medeama, were second best in almost every area of the game, and hardly put up a fight against the Algerian side.
The Tarkwa based side already had their fate sealed before kickoff, after defeat in their penultimate game against Al Ahly, had already knocked them out of the competition.
Medeama, however, finish bottom of Group D, after managing just one win throughout the group stage campaign.
Egyptian giants, Al Ahly and Tanzania’s Young Africans progress to the quarter finals.
