The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Alhaji Abu Hassan as the new chairman of the Black Satellites Management Committee, replacing Dr. Randy Abbey.
In a statement on Tuesday, the GFA confirmed the Executive Council’s to appoint Abu Hassan, chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association, to the role.
The Executive Council member replaces Dr. Randy Abbey following the expiration of his four year mandate.
Alhaji Abu Hassan is the current owner of Division Two side Zanwara FC in Tamale. He first came to prominence as a an administrator when he served as Chief Executive Officer of the now defunct Guan United.
Meanwhile, the GFA has also confirmed the appointment of former Director of Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs John Ansah as vice chairman to the Committee.
Other Members of the Committee are Edmund Ackah, General Manager of FC Samartex, Divine Kyei, President of Nations FC and Ismael Hamid, Manager of Premier League side Accra Lions FC.
