Dancehall sensation, DSL has just announced his latest single, ‘No Gree’.
The record, which was unveiled at a media soiree held at Full Option Lounge in East Legon, Accra, is a highly resonant song meant to inspire confidence and hard work in its listeners.
“In an age where the use of social media is prevalent, users are easily swayed by the perceived achievements of other people,” the Lynx Entertainment signee told a section of the media at the Thursday, February 22 event.
'No Gree' looks at the situation from a different perspective. In it, I’m telling people to believe in time and season, work hard and to not allow the pressure from social media get to them."
On the DJ Vyrusky-produced song, the 2023 VGMA Unsung Award winner showcases his versatility, as he explores typical afrobeat sounds that he is not particularly associated with.
‘No Gree’ is accompanied by a visualizer that shows the artiste in his rawest form, flowing like he never has, and enjoying every minute of it.
The buzz for his latest release follows his past singles ‘Chow’ and ‘Happy’, and the highly successful ‘Back to the Roots' EP.
DSL is optimistic for 2024, as he insists the single simply sets the pace for all the work he has in store for his fans and well-wishers.
'No Gree' is available on music streaming platforms.
