Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is the chief guest for this year's J.A Kufuor Cup match between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC.
The game, scheduled for Sunday, February 18, 2024, is in honour of former president, John Agyekum Kufuor who is celebrating his 85th birthday.
The match is a climax of the birthday celebrations organised by the J.A Kufuor Foundation.
The Vice President, together with other dignitaries from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Sports Authority, Ghana Football Association (GFA), and members of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the African Games 2023, have all pledged their support to grace the occasion.
President of the Ghana FA, Kurt Okraku as part of his contribution offered to buy 5,000 tickets to be distributed to fans, while former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah distributes 1,000 tickets.
