The Paramount Chief of the Sehwi Wiawso Traditional Area has urged the various assembly members to devise new methods of collecting internal funds for the MDAs in the Juaboso District.
Katakyire Kwasi Bumagamah II made this statement at the inauguration of the newly elected assembly members for the 8th Assembly of the district.
Fund mobilization is a crucial factor in the development of every district assembly, especially if the funds are generated internally.
However, many assemblies struggle to find adequate methods to generate sufficient funds to manage their affairs.
Speaking at the gathering in the Western North Region, Katakyire Kwasi Bumangamah II emphasised the need for assembly members to enhance the mobilisation of Internally Generated Funds.
He also urged them to collaborate closely to devise innovative strategies for collecting the necessary resources for the development of their localities.
Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive of Juaboso, Godfred Kwabena Adjei Asante entreated the assembly members to discard political lenses in the discharge of their duties.
He urged them to focus on the reason why they were elected to represent them at the assembly.
