Team Ghana's Chef de Mission for the 2023 Africa Games, Ernest Danso, says the athletes and officials are facing no challenges as part of their preparations and are 'very okay' as things stand.
With 32 days away from the start of the competition, Ghana athletes are intensifying their preparations at the Cape Coast Stadium and the University of Cape Coast.
Boxing, arm wrestling, athletics, weightlifting, handball, volleyball and basketball are some of the disciplines that have been in camp since January 19 ahead of the games.
The team received the Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif, last week who checked on the progress of their preparations.
Briefing the press in the presence of the visiting Minister, Danso said the athletes and officials are satisfied with the conditions available to them.
"I believe this is one of the best camping that we have for Team Ghana going for any tournament. We have the numbers here; they are more than ever," he said.
"They are feeling okay. They are very good here. When it comes to their per diems, the ministry is giving everything. What they have here so far, they haven't had that before.
"Their per diems, they will get it before they leave Cape Coast."
Ghana is expected to participate in all 30 sporting disciplines at the games which is set to commence on March 8.
