Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan is believed to be nearing a move to English FA Cup finalist Everton after injury plighted his debut season at Stade Rennes.
The 22-year-old is reported to have left for London Monday as his agent begins discussions with manager David Moyes.
Moyes is thought to be a huge admirer of the former Udinise forward and they are keen on the striker who has made it clear he will love a move to London in the future.
Gyan has three years left on his current contract with the French side.
He was limited to 16 top-flight games and just a solitary league goal last season as he struggled to settle in France.
Newly appointed coach of the French side coach Frédéric Antonetti has set himself the task of improving Asamoah Gyan's fortunes in France.
Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha is still not without a fresh deal and his future at Goodison Park side is in doubt.
