The family of the popular waakye seller Hajia Imoro Muniratu, popularly known as Auntie Muni, has released a date for her final funeral rites.
In a flier shared on social media, the family announced that the final Islamic prayers for Auntie Muni will be held on Sunday, January 21, at Cantonments Police Mosque.
Following the prayers, the refreshment will be held at the Auntie Muni Waakye Joint at Labone later that day.
The celebrated waakye seller's passing was confirmed by her family on Wednesday, January 3.
The 72-year-old known for her delectable waakye, succumbed to a short illness at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) in Accra that morning.
Alhassan Abdul Arafat, Auntie Muni's son, disclosed this during an interview. He revealed that his mother had been unwell and was initially taken to the SSNIT Hospital.

However, complications arose, prompting Auntie Muni to request to be discharged.
"After two days, we realised she was still not feeling well, so we rushed her to the University of Ghana Medical Centre for medical attention, and this morning at 3 am, she passed away," Arafat said.
