The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, says the leadership of the party will be responding appropriately to campaign jabs of the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
This move, he says, will allow the NDC flagbearer to focus on explaining campaign promises and the party’s manifesto to the electorates.
"He should leave Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to us the leadership of the party to take care of him. We will make sure that every sin he has committed against you [Mahama], we shall make sure he reaps everything in full measure," said Fifi Kwetey.
"Every sin he has committed from 2008 to 2020, this year, he doesn't know what is about to happen".
Mr. Kwetey spoke at a stakeholder’ engagement as part of the NDC’s "Building Ghana Tour" of the Volta Region.
Party members were also assured there will be no complacency on the part of the NDC in its mission to salvage the country.
"We will make sure this year there is no complacency, we have no choice but to do this not just for the NDC but the whole Ghana," said Fifi.
He further appealed to parliamentary candidates to work towards ensuring massive votes for the flagbearer.
Mr. Kwetey charged them not to neglect the presidential election in search of their own victory in the parliamentary election.
