The Assemblymember for Vodza/Adzido Electoral Area, in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region, has appealed to the government to resettle victims of the floods caused by the controlled spillage of the Akosombo and Kpong dams.

He was speaking to the media on the sideline of an Village Life Outreach project by a Christian Non-Profit organization, True Worshippers Prophetic Dance Ministries.
"Our prayers are that the government will come to our aid and relocate our colleagues who live here to prevent their homes from getting flooded”, said Mr. Mensah.
He lamented that flood victims have received very little support since the unfortunate incident occurred, with the government only providing some relief items to about 50 victims, out of the lots.
Mr. Mensah, however, lauded the efforts of the True Worshippers Prophetic Dance Ministries to fete the victims and provide some relief items during Christmas.
“We are happy, as you can see, the crowd alone shows that we are happy about the event”, he emphasized.

The aged, persons with disabilities, widows, and widowers were presented with Christmas hampers.

The Leader of the True Worshippers Prophetic Dance Ministries, Apostle Vincent Anowie said his congregation identified the challenges of the victims after suffering the man-made disaster and hence decided to mobilize resources to support them during the yuletide.
He said the outreach was to help put smiles on the faces of the victims during these difficult times.
“The people of Vodza having gone through these challenges, we believe this Christmas party and outreach project will put lovely smiles on their faces”, he said.
Apostle Anowie appealed to philanthropic organizations to support his Church to extend its outreach to the less privileged in the Ghanaian community.
