A family in Bibiani Old Town, whose house was burned down has turned to a local fetish priest in hopes of gaining forgiveness and protection.
According to Adom News, the family was devastated when their house was mysteriously burnt down by what they believed to be a punishment from the gods.
The gods, they claim, reportedly set fire to nine of the fifteen rooms in the house, destroying several personal possessions belonging to the tenants.
After a spiritual consultation, the family was told that the gods had been offended by the actions of the tenants and some family members.
According to the local fetish priest, Nana Baffour Gyau, the family came to him seeking help and guidance.
He revealed that the family agreed to let him move into the house to continue the spiritual exercise to stop the mysterious burning incidents.
However, Nana Baffour Gyau acknowledged that while the mysterious burning incidents might stop, it would take time and rituals to prevent further money from going missing.
"Right now, it’s been agreed that I move into the house which I have started what I have to do. The fire outbreaks have stopped. But the money that goes missing will take a while before it will stop. But before it will stop, I have to cleanse the house and pacify the gods else it won’t stop.”
