The Deputy National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party, Isaac Hyde, has considered the administrator of GETfund, Dr Richard Boadu, the most efficient and competent government appointee.
Mr Hyde made this claim during a conversation on Joy Prime's Prime Morning after a documentary was aired highlighting the issue of a teacher being posted to a non-existent school in a community.
Per the documentary, Eunice Asiedua Agyapong, a trained teacher, requested to be transferred to teach in the Eastern Region in May 2023 so as to take care of her aged parents.
When her request was granted, she was excited, but her excitement diminished after she realised the school she had been posted to did not exist.
The government promised to provide one and has begun the building of a six-unit block through the GETfund emergency project.
Reacting to the issue, Mr Hyde said that the GETfund administrator is a good listener and will ensure the project is completed immediately.
"Dr Boadu is very open. He'll readily listen to you and tell you what has to be done. I mean, there's no appointee in government who is as competent as that man. I can attest to that," Mr Hyde assured.
The NPP Deputy Youth Organiser thinks it is not a punishment for a teacher to be posted to a deprived community; instead, the person can serve as an agent of change and improve the community's condition.
He added that it is service to their country, urging all teachers to embrace wherever they have been posted and strive to make a change as a way of supporting the government.
However, he has called on the board of the GETfund to pay more attention to the Noka community project and see to it that the school is completed.
