Education Minister, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, has lauded the efforts of the Akufo-Addo administration for its investments in the education sector that have made education accessible to all people.
According to him, the massive investment in infrastructure projects in public basic schools across the country has yielded the necessary results since schools are now able to admit more people.
"Your Excellency, your investment in education has led to the construction of STEM high schools. Now we have moved from transforming secondary education to the transformation of public education as a whole. New schools are being built across the country," he said.
Dr Adutwum said this during his speech at the 15th Congregation of the University of Professional Studies, Accra, on December 12, 2023.
The Education Minister added that the government has also invested in Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) through the expansion of projects in major public universities nationwide.
Dr Adutwum seized the opportunity to debunk the claim by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that John Mahama’s administration had undertaken more infrastructural projects in education than the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
