Heavens came down at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) on Saturday eve when the 2023 MTN Stands in Worship (SIW) took centre stage.
Hundreds of gospel lovers who thronged to the venue were treated to spirit-filled performances by some of the biggest gospel artistes in the country.
One after the other, the gospel musicians produced outstanding performances which got the crowd on their feet for most part of the event.
The night began with the MTN choir charging the atmosphere with soothing renditions of very popular Ghanaian gospel songs from Tagoe Sisters, Rev Joe Beecham, Daughters of Glorious Jesus and others after several mixes from sensational DJ Paloma.
It followed with Perez Musik who took the auditorium into a deeper spiritual realm with his powerful worship.
Pastor Edwin Dadson maintained the worship momentum with some great collections and in the process, managed to put the audience into a prayer mood.
Nsroma Music’s performance was also nothing short of delightful as she dazzled the audience with her powerful voice before making way for the crowd’s favourite, Piesie Esther to rock the stage with her energetic display.
The reigning Gospel Artiste of the Year enchanted the patrons with her very popular songs, Wa Ye Me Yie and Ewurade Mo. She also sang other great songs which kept the audience on their feet as they sang and danced throughout the period.
Nacee sustained the euphoria with his unbeatable vocal prowess and liveliness on stage. He also kept the crowd to sing along especially when he dropped ‘Aseda,’ arguably the most popular gospel song currently.
Just when the crowd thought they had enough, MOG then came along with another powerful worship collection.
It was a night to remember for patrons as they left the arena satisfied and fulfilled ahead of the Christmas festivities.
