Ghana international Kwame Poku was involved in three goals for Peterborough United in their league game against Cambridge on Saturday.

The 22-year-old scored two and set up another in the emphatic 5-0 win at home in the English League One encounter.

Starting once again after his goal in midweek against Wigan Athletic, Poku assisted Ephron Mason-Clarke for the game's opening after 34 minutes played.

The Englishman doubled the lead minutes later with the assist from Ricky-Jade Jones this around.

Poku extended the lead to three with a brilliant strike with his left foot after cutting in the final third of the pitch to record his fifth league goal of the season.

The Posh went into the break with the score at 3-0.

Back from recess, the one-time capped winger grabbed his second of the game after slotting into the net a square pass from Joel Randall in the 54th minute.

Poku came off in the 84th minute with David Ajiboye taking his place before Peterborough scored their fifth of the game.

With his two goals and assist on Saturday, Poku has now been involved in 12 goals in 16 appearances for the club in League One this season.
