Hosts of the 2023 CAF Women's Champions League (CAFWCL) Athletico FC Abidjan are in danger of missing out on a place in the knockout stages of the competition after another defeat.
The Ivorian side threw away a first-half lead to lose their second group game on Wednesday evening against JKT Queens of Tanzania.
Sandrine Niamien gave Athletico FC the lead after 33 minutes played as they headed into the break ahead.
However, the Tanzanians got inspiration from Winifrida Hubert Gerald and Alia Fikiri Salum as they turned the tie around to secure their first points of the competition.
In the other Group A fixture, Melinda Kgadiete scored the only goal of the game as Mamelodi Sundowns clinched all three points against Sporting Club Casablanca.
The forward's 42nd-minute strike was enough for the 2021 winners who now advance to the knockout stage of the competition after six points from their opening two games.
Sundowns face Athletico FC Abidjan in their final game while SC Casablanca also face off with JKT Queens.
